Last week we got to ride the local trolley with the Kendall cousins!!! It has been a much anticipated ride for us.... We've been talking about going for a while now... It's pretty cool--if you take the round trip, it takes about an hour. There are several stops along the way. It seems that a few people are taking advantage of the "historical" public transportation efforts of the City of Joplin. We enjoyed it and will definitely do it again!!!
Zion & Paige.........................Spencer & Sylas
Sophie & Maddox.......................Selah and Skyler
(Sophie loved being responsible for Maddox!)
We always have a GREAT time with the cousins!!! Thanks for inviting us, Kendalls!!

Zion the Knight
Here is "Zion the Knight!" He actually purchased this with his own, hard-earned money!!! He was proudly wearing it this particular day to our VBS "Super-hero day." He kept it on the whole three hours of VBS--even out on the playground!!!
Sweet Paigey....
Isn't this the most adorable picture?!!!.... She has been doing this new "pose" if you can tell--where she tilts her head to the side. SOOO cute!!
And Paige took this picture of mommy and Maddox. I think she's been taking lessons from her bro. I was surprised she actually got both of us in the picture! It doesn't seem that she cares all that much about taking a picture of something, she's really only concerned with pushing the buttons!
A Sweet Summer Treat!!!
Today we had a special treat after everyone cleaned their whole plate for lunch!! We made chocolate shakes in the blender--or as Zion refers to it, the food tornado! (Seriously, he made that up himself!) Anyway, the kids thoroughly enjoyed the whole process--putting in the ice cream, milk and chocolate, and then enjoying the deliciousness!! What a treat!

Oh, what a fun trolley ride! Iris would have LOVED that! I think little kiddos in dress-ups are so cute....I'm so proud of him for using his own money. We're playing around with the idea of giving Iris an allowance. It's time for her to start learning a little bit about money and how that all works. I think sweet (and she is SO sweet) Paige may be a budding photographer - her picture of you and Maddox was great!
meghan, we started a while back w/ zion earning money--he has a chart, where we have different chores that he is responsible for... so far, we leave it up to him (for the most part) to do the chores, but i think as he gets older it will be more of a required thing. he gets star stickers each time he completes a task. also, it has helped as a motivator for different things, such as, staying in his bed at night, etc. we LOVE it!!! it makes him feel like a big boy too!:)
The trolley looks like so much fun! I want to go on that next time we're in Joplin! These pics are so adorable of all the kiddos..can't wait to see you all soon...I'm really missing you guys...love you all so much! Zion looks so big in his knight pic and on the bike with his Yankees hat..Paigey, well she is just beautiful inside & out..Maddox, squeezable, and so darn cute!
